Lucence

Lucence has several meanings.  It means glowing with a clear light and also refers to a level of awareness or understanding.  These images describe a quality of light and also allude to the profund beauty of light's presence as the fundamental source of energy for all life.  This grouping includes some works from the Tidelog project in which the changing seasonal light on Richardson Bay, California, was painted weekly from November 2017 to March  2018.  it continues to grow as I explore the interplay of light with water and our coastal atmosphere.
